This little sampler from WhatNoMints is a very elegant interpretation of the Buckyball form – a carbon based molecular structure that has become famous in the past 25 years and is familiar both sue to its presence in modern science, and the popular magnetic desk toy (which, while it’s not a technically accurate Buckyball structure, is super fun and available here at ThinkGeek.com)

I especially love the steel grey color embroidery floss used to show depth in the figure. Wonderful attention to detail!

Even Google got in on the Buckyball 25th Birthday celebration earlier this month, designing the homepage to match.
